The CCCI course introduces the student doctor to the clinical setting. It provides the student doctor with a forum for the application of history, examination, diagnosis and treatment. The course also fosters the application and integration of critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills obtained in the didactic portion of the Doctor of Chiropractic Program (DCP). The CCCI course also incorporates introductory elements needed to be Practice-Ready clinicians including basic insurance definitions, coding, and risk management.

Prerequisites

Successful completion of all coursework in Tri 1-6; proof of compliance with Texas Administrative Code Rule # 97.64 (Required Vaccinations for Students Enrolled in Health-related and Veterinary Courses in Institutions of Higher Education).

Corequisites

Must have taken or be registered to take NBCE Part I
