Cellular Phones and Smart Watches

Electronic communication devices are to be turned off or placed in silent mode when in the classroom. These devices are not allowed to be on your person during testing situations, including the Assessment Center. Students are not permitted to bring to examinations/in-class tests/quizzes any hand-held device capable of recording and/or searching the internet, unless otherwise approved by the faculty member. Devices such smart phones, smart watches, smart pens, and smart glasses must be left at the front of the classroom and must be powered off for the duration of the test/assessment. Students caught using any of these devices during an examination/test will be subject to disciplinary action for academic dishonesty. 

Cellular phones and smart watches may not be answered during class time (nor may you check or send text messages) without prior permission from the faculty member. Texting, playing games on your phone/smart watch, showing pictures on your phone/smart watch, surfing the web, e-mailing, etc. is not allowed during laboratory and/or class time.
