Veterans Educational Benefits - Pending Payment Policy
Compliance with 38 U.S.C. § 3679(e)(l)(A) and (B)
In accordance with Title 38 of the United States Code, Section 3679(e)(l)(A) and (B), Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) permits eligible students receiving educational assistance under Chapter 31 (Veteran Readiness and Employment), Chapter 33 (Post-9/11 GI Bill®), Chapter 35 (Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance), or Chapter 1606 of Title 10 (Montgomery GI Bill-Selected Reserve) to attend and participate in their educational programs while awaiting payment of applicable benefits.
During the period beginning when an eligible student provides the College with a certificate of eligibility or other acceptable documentation of entitlement and ending on the earlier of (1) the date the applicable VA payment is received by the College or (2) 90 days after the College certifies tuition and fees following receipt of the student's eligibility documentation, TCC will not:
- Prevent or delay the student's enrollment or participation in classes due to delayed benefit payments.
- Assess late fees or other financial penalties resulting from delayed disbursement of covered educational benefits.
- Deny access to classes, libraries, or other institutional facilities and resources available to students who have satisfied their tuition and fee obligations.
- Require the student to borrow additional funds or obtain alternative financing solely because of delayed benefit payments.
Students remain responsible for tuition, fees, and other educational expenses not covered by their applicable benefits.
Texas Chiropractic College is committed to supporting eligible veterans, service members, and dependents by ensuring that delays in the disbursement of educational benefits do not interfere with their educational opportunities, consistent with federal law.
